Sweet Reid Thomas

Our nephew, Reid Thomas, was born with a minor eye condition called Nystagmus. Nystagmus is an involuntary rhythmic shaking or wobbling of the eyes. His eyes shake when he gets sleepy and his condition has gotten better as he's gotten older. He lowers his head to focus so the reason for the surgery is to try and stop him from lowering his head to focus so it doesn't become a habit. It's actually really cute when he focuses..... it goes right along w/ his mischievous personality :)

On Friday, May 23rd, he is getting surgery to correct his Nystagmus. Please keep Reid, Susanne, Monty & Adelie in your prayers. He will be under anesthesia for 30 minutes or so, then will be home that afternoon. He won't be able to play in the water or sand for 10 days and if you know Reid, he loves both so these next 10 days will be a trying time for Susanne & Monty.... and Reid who we all know will test them to the limit, ha!

We love you Reid and you are in our prayers! God is watching out for his little tough man :)
