On Wednesday, Payton had an Easter party at school. We went by CFA for breakfast that morning (we go by there 1x/week before school and have for months) and then headed to Wee Wuns. When we pulled up in the parking lot of her school, I got tears in my eyes b/c Brandon surprised us, completely, and came to her party!! Payton was beyond excited when she looked in the car beside us and there sat her sweet, loving daddy! We took her to class then she and her classmates sang "Riding in my car," a song that she has been singing for weeks and now I can finally put music to her version of the song. They put on hats, sunglasses and scarves and sang along to every word of the song, dancing and all. Then they had a tasty snack then headed off to chapel.
While the kids were at chapel, the parents stayed behind and hid eggs in their classroom so when they came back, they were surprised to see what the Easter bunny had hidden for them. I had a meeting at work that I had to get to and Brandon had already left so neither of us got to see her hunt for the eggs but us not being there did not stop her from getting a basket full of goodies! She's going to be an egg hunting pro by the time Easter gets here with all the hunting she's done this Easter season!
