Last Saturday in February

Last Saturday, Cha Cha came to visit us! Payton was looking forward to her visit all week. I really shouldn't tell her when people are coming to visit b/c children this young have no concept of time so you can imagine how often we were asked when is she coming, is she here yet, is that Cha Cha, etc.....

Cha Cha arrived in Cypress and Payton was so happy to see her (daddy, Payne and I were too!)! Cha Cha settled in for a bit, got Payne up from his nap after he woke up (and the poor baby cried b/c he didn't know where his mama was....so sweet!), played with Payton then we headed out for lunch and some shopping. We ate a great lunch at Cypress Station Grill. I think Payne ate more than any of us and he would have kept eating had we let him. After lunch, we headed to Hobby Lobby to get crafts for Payton and Cha Cha. And boy did they ever get some crafts- I think they bought every craft, including Easter eggs for an egg hunt(!), that HL had to offer! Brandon and I went looking for stuff for our house and as usual we did not agree :) He thinks he can decorate and he can in some cases but we don't always see eye to eye on decorating so it's comical to go shopping together and we had some good laughs while Payton was out running around the store picking up every item she could find that was crafty.  We loaded up the goods and headed back to our house for an afternoon filled with beautiful sunshine, Cha Cha, Easter egg hunts, step stool painting, lots of candy/chocolate eating and most of all, fun memories made with our family and Cha Cha!

That evening, Cha Cha offered to watch the kids so we could go on a date! For those of you who live in the same town or near the same town as family, be grateful!! We don't have any family here and it's hard for us to leave our kids with sitters b/c they are with us all the time and being away from them is really hard.  But, a mommy and daddy need time away from their kids from time-to-time even if it is for a quick dinner. We went to Peli-Peli, a South African restaurant here in Cypress, and it was deelish! We got done eating, went to Berrylicious for frozen yogurt then we were going to go and see a movie but we were both exhausted and didn't think we could stay awake and there weren't any movies we were dying to see. So, we went shopping for a bit then came home and got home just in time to give Payton kisses good night :) Thank you Cha Cha for the date night!

The last Saturday in February was a great one! We spent time with the ones we love, we got lots of good pics and the weather was perfect!! We hope March has more days like Saturday!!
