Girls + 1 Little Boy Weekend

We had our 1st Girls + 1 Little Boy Weekend and it was a hit!  Jennifer and I decided months ago that we'd start our own annual (and now we've decided it should be seasonal!) weekend get together one time a year so that we can spend more time together now that we're not living in the same city.

Payton was so excited to be slumbering at Addie's house! Last time we spent the night there, Amelia was only a few months old and Payne wasn't born yet.  We met Jen and the girls for lunch in Southlake then we headed back to their house for lots of playing! The girls had so much fun playing together and Payne enjoyed playing with, more  like eating, chalk! After spending the afternoon playing outside, we went to dinner. Payton and Addie played every game that a child can possibly play while we ate/waited for dinner. We were outside on a patio so they had a ball running around being sassy and wild! Payne and Millie sat quietly in their high chairs, snacked and watched the mayhem that their sisters were causing :) We headed back to Jen's house, put the kids in a much needed bath, put them to bed and spent the night drinking wine and catching up...just like ol' times.

Sunday, were took the kids to the neatest place for bluebonnet pictures. It was a small field with bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes and had a really neat old train caboose.  Payton and Addie were in their own worlds picking flowers, not wanting to take pictures and playing on the caboose. Payne sat in the bluebonnets for a good 10 minutes without moving so I can only assume he was eating flowers or dirt.....nothing else could have kept him that occupied :). Millie played in the flowers and had fun playing in her wagon. She is the sweetest little love!

We had the best weekend and we can't wait for our 2nd Girls + 1 Little Girl Weekend!! Thanks Jen (& Patrick) for being the best hostess to us!!! Love you all!!
