My sweet baby boy is 23 months old! This is the last of the "months" age. He'll officially be a toddler in less than one month :( It seems that the last 23 months have flown by. My mom always told me that when you are having fun and enjoying life time flies by. She was right!
Payne is such a joy! He has a good mix of my personality mixed with Brandon's. For the most part, he's laid back and easy going which makes him like his daddy. There are instances where he is short tempered, dramatic and a hot mess which makes him more like his mommy (in my younger days of course!) :).
He talks all the time. He can say up to 7 word sentences. Most of his sentences are 4 words and often demanding. He LOVES chocolate milk thanks to his loving Daddy :) He eats all fruits, loves carbs of any kind, lunch meats, broccoli, corn, carrots and fruit snacks. He doesn't like ice cream, yogurt or anything cold. He is very particular and set in his ways. We always say he's like an old man. He has a fascination with shoes. He'll wear anyone's shoes and wears shoes throughout most of the day. He rarely goes in the car or to a store without a motorcycle, cow or car in hand.
He loves, loves, loves bulls aka cows. We were driving from Houston to Dallas one day and I said "Payton, look at that huge bull" and she could have cared less. Little did I know that P2 was listening from his seat. From that day on, every cow is a bull in Payne's eyes. Now, we don't pass a pasture, empty or full of cows, that he doesn't say "hi bulls, 'dat bull, where bulls or bye bulls". He plays with trucks, trains, balls, blocks, books, Elmo, farm animals, outside and in the dirt. His favorite past time is trying to get in the pantry and raid it!
I will thoroughly and busily enjoy the next month with my sweet, shy, impatient 23 month old Payne. It's bittersweet knowing that he is already 23 months old. He is all boy and we wouldn't have it any other way! He makes my heart hurt with his sweetness and cuteness ;)
