Rain, rain, go away!

Don't come back to Houston today!! It's been raining in Houston for the past.... 4 years that we've lived here! This summer has been exceptionally great with very little rain...until the past few weeks! It has rained almost every day, whether it be a quick shower or a torrential down pour. This morning, it was raining so hard we couldn't see across the street and Payton had school so we had to get out into the messy weather. She was dressed and ready for school and looked out the front window and saw the rain pouring down. She ran upstairs and kept screaming for me so I went up to see what the rush was. She was in desperate "need" of her rain coat AND boots..... when it was 95+ degrees outside, so that she could make it through the summer shower that sprung upon us. We got her coat and boots down and she was so excited, you'd have thought it was Christmas morning! She ran around the house and did flips and hand stands in her coat and boots. She wore it all the way to school, her "neighborhood" -- that's a hoodie to Payton- and all! Too cute! There's nothing more fun than seeing a little one enjoy such a yucky day :)
