On Christmas Eve, we had a day full of plans. That morning, our friends Amanda & Tatum came over to the Granberry's to exchange gifts with Payton. We've known Tatum since the day she was born, 7 years ago, so seeing her grow up has been a treat. She is such a big girl now. She makes Payton really look like a baby even though she's our big girl. Payton was so happy to see them and had a royal tea party with Tatum.
On Christmas Eve afternoon, we went to church at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall. If you've never been to this church, it's a wonderful place to worship and they have a great minister and fantastic musical staff. Payton, tears and all, went to the children's church and after about 5 minutes, she was calm and playing. She had no idea where she was so I don't blame her for being a little timid :) The candlelight service was amazing and touching, as it is every year. I love all the music, sermons and togetherness we feel being together during the holidays. We picked up Payton after the service and she made us a special treat- baby jesus in the manger with sheep :) It was a sweet picture made by our little angel.
After church, we headed over to the Osborn's for a family Christmas! David, Dell, Justin, Shane and Tanner grew up with Granberry's and they're almost more like family to the Granberry's than their real family, ha! Justin is married to Tammy and they have a little boy, Hunter, and they're expecting their 2nd baby in May, Shane is engaged to the sweetest girl, Ashley, and they live in Houston and Tanner, who's dating all the Baylor Bear girls, is a sophomore at Baylor. Dell cooked all day and had tons of wonderful dishes for us to feast on. We opened presents, reminisced, laughed and enjoyed the company of great friends during Christmas.
After the Osborn get together, we headed back to the Granberry's. We all got cozy in our PJ's, opened a few gifts and went to bed to wait for Christmas morn :)
