That's right- It's snowing here!! Payton and I were headed downstairs to get a snack and as we walked down our stairs, all we saw outside was a white, beautiful sky filled with snow!! Payton about fell down the stairs she was so excited!!! We hurried down the stairs, grabbed our camera and video camera and had TONS of fun playing in the snow! It's hard to see in the pictures that there is actually snow b/c it's not sticking but believe me, it's really snowing and it's coming down fast!!
It's amazing how exciting snow can be to a child! I think snow might have replaced the level excitement that Santa brings at our house :) Emmitt enjoyed the flakes too while little Rudy had to look out of the front window. We didn't want to lose a dog in the snow so Mr. Rudy had to stay inside or we would have been on a wild dog chase, freezing our booty's off chasing him around the neighborhood.
After playing in the snow and catching all the snow that she could on her tongue, Payton came in to have some nice, warm hot chocolate! She doesn't understand frost bite so getting her to come inside was quite a battle. Now, she's enjoying looking out the windows at the beautiful winter we're FINALLY having here in Houston!
This is officially her 2nd snow. Her first snow was in West Viriginia when she was 9 months old. We went on our first family vacation to The Greenbrier Resort and when we got there, it was snowing! She doesn't remember her 1st snow so she's running around telling me that "it's my first snow, Hallelujah!"Now Payton can say she's had 2 different kinds of snow- East Coast snow and South Texas snow, ha!
Stay warm and enjoy winter!!

I can't believe it snowed here! Patrick thinks I'm a nut because he is so used to it in Western Oklahoma, but us southerners get excited over this stuff! I am so sad Addie didn't get to see it since she was napping. My favorite is the one of Rudy looking out the window. That is too funny!
