Much to our surprise, Santa made an early stop at the Granberry house this year! He knew we wouldn't be here for the big day and since Payton was such a good girl this year, he came a couple of days early so she could have Christmas at her own house.
After baking cookies for Santa, Payton set out his cookies and orange juice (according to Payton, Santa doesn't like milk) beside the fireplace so he could grab a bite right as he came down the chimney. After getting everything ready for Santa, it was time for Reindeer feed! We set out glitter and oats, a Reindeer favorite, on the front porch so the reindeer would have snacks too! After exhausting herself with excitement, it was off to bed to read Christmas stories then off to sleep to await Santa's arrival.
The next morning, Payton came downstairs and had the greatest look of surprise on her face! She didn't know what to think of all the treasures that Santa brought for her. She loved all the goodies and had fun digging through her stocking. She had two full days to play with all of her toys and books before we traveled so it worked out perfect. She had a great Christmas at home. It was her last Christmas as an only child so this year was extra special :)
