Sweet Granddaddy Charlie, updates

8:15 p.m. update
The ENT just came out and talked to the family. Everything went well and Granddaddy is doing great! The Neurologist is next in line to do his part of the surgery.

Friday, July 3rd update
Granddaddy's surgery was over late last night. It took longer than expected and was more invasive and intense than the doctors expected. He either had a stroke sometime during the night or another complication from the surgery has caused him to be unable to move his left side of the body. He is on a ventilator and is in a medical induced coma. Please, please pray for Granddaddy, his wife, Charla and her family.

Today, Brandon's grandfather (ChaCha's daddy) and Payton and Payne's great-grandfather, Granddaddy, is having major brain surgery. He went to the hospital last week with pains and we found out that he had a severe sinus infection that ate through his skull and is causing swelling and other issues within his brain.

Granddaddy is a sweet man that means the world to our family. Please say prayers for him. Please pray for wisdom for his doctors, strength for Granddaddy and his body to fully recover from the surgery. He's a tough ol' man so we know he'll come out of the surgery and be back to his ol' self again very soon.

The surgery is at Baylor Medical in Dallas so he's in the greatest hands of a great team of Neurologist, ENT's and surgeons. It was supposed to start at 1 today and last approximately 5 hours but it has been delayed a few hours. We wish we could be there with our family today :(
