The Granberry's Land of Oz

Happy Halloween from our OZ to yours!! Our 2 little trick-or-treaters had a great Halloween.....One is an ol' pro and one is new to the game of trick-or-treating and both thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Saturday morning, Payton, Payne and I headed to a fall festival at Wee Wuns (Payton's old school). We met Aunt Mallory, Jaxson, Mallory's friend Nadia, Crystal, Stuart, Sarah and Connor at the festival. Sarah and Payton played every game and Payton loved all on her Aunt Mallory :) And of course, I forgot my camera so I don't have any pics :( I did however get some cute snaps of the kiddo's after the festival at our house, playing and relaxing....

Payton loves her some Payne!

Payne trying out the "dog"....looks too cute to eat!

Hanging out before they rolled on each other
and proceeded to punch each other's face with their
flying fists :)

After daddy, Uncle Evan and Uncle TJ got back from their golf tournament (which I must brag and say they won!!!), we got ready for the night of boo!!  The first stop of the night, the Lawson's house for pizza, playing and fun! Payton dressed as Dorothy, entered their home perfectly looking like Dorothy.....but that didn't last too long! Before we left, she had been "made over" by her friends and her hair had to be fixed before she could head out to trick-or-treat in our old neighborhood.  After Kay so sweetly fixed her piggies, we got Payne dressed as the most adorable, courageous lion and both kiddos were happy and awake :)

Wonderful Family of Oz
** Payton told us that Brandon needed to be the Tin Man
b/c he was the sweetest of them all and that I needed to
be none other than the Wicked Witch of the West.....
no explaination needed, right?!!

Courageous Lion before we headed to trick or treat....
Scary huh?!

Dorothy is ready!

The best pic we could get...missing a few kiddos

The courageous lion 2 minutes before he hit the lion's den :)

With all kids, brothers and sisters in tow, we set off to get some treats from the neighborhood. The first stop was the Griffin's house. They were our 1st neighbors in our 1st house in Houston, across the street from the Lawson's. After hitting the Griffin's house, one of our little Oz characters, as courageous as he was, was out for the night for some much needed zzz's!  Our little lion slept for the next 3 1/2 hours and I don't think that sweet little lion would have moved for anyone, not even that mean old Wicked Witch from the West!!!  Dorothy was not phased by her trusty companion Mr. Lion snoozing and off she went with her friends from house to house gathering candy of all sorts.

Patiently waiting for the sweet treats!

After hitting the houses in Fairfield, we headed to Fairfield Baptist for their fall festival festivities! They had trunk-or-treating, bounce houses, fire trucks, snow cones, corny dogs, fried oreo's, games and fun of all kinds.....all for the cost of a donation of 2 canned goods :) Dorothy had a blast at the festival and ran around all over the place.....Mr. Lion.....snoozed the entire time and didn't wake until we got him out of his car seat at home.

Jumping all the sugar out!

Smooth landing jumping out of the firetruck

All tuckered out!

I would say that our little Oz characters had a great time for the 1st and 4th time at trick-or-treating! Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Evan who came to visit for the weekend had a great time too! We can't wait to see what characters will be going trick-or-treating with us next year :)

And since I love to look back at old pictures, here are Payton's 1st, 2nd and 3rd Halloween's...my how she's grown and how her friends have grown, too!!
